Rodolfo Taccani, PhD, is Prorector for Technology Transfer at the University of Trieste, Italy. He is a full professor of Power Plants at the Department of Engineering and Architecture. He was president of the Italian Thermotechnic Association  (ATI Sect. FVG) from 2017 to 2022.

His current research interests comprise the analysis and optimization of energy conversion systems with particular reference to Fuel Cells and hydrogen. He is author of about 100 international research papers. He has coordinated many research and industrial projects regarding the development of advanced energy conversion systems.
