Tomaž Katrašnik

Dr. Tomaž Katrašnik is a Full Professor of Energy engineering at University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Slovenia and Scientific councillor at National Institute of Chemistry, Department of Materials Chemistry. He is also Head of the Slovene Research Programme Energy Engineering and President of Technical board of Slovenian Strategic Research and Innovation Partnership (SRIP) Mobility as well as Leader of Sustainable energy pillar of SRIP Networks for the transition to Circular economy.

Tomaž Katrašnik received the B.Sc. degree in physics and the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Ljubljana, Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1999, 2001, and 2004. His research focuses on multi-scale modelling of batteries and fuel cells as well as on electric, hybrid, fuel cell and conventional powertrains, internal combustion engines, thermochemical processes, alternative energy vectors, energy systems and sector coupling.
